CIAA files cases against TIA staff

A charge sheet has been lodged by Commission of Investigation for Abuse and Authority (CIAA) in the special court, Kathmandu against four employees of Tribhuwan Airport, Custom Office on the charge of corruption for allegedly carrying out illegal act of bringing mobile sets out of the premises in the night time.

Employees of the custom Office including Pahal Thapa Chhetri, Kashiram Poudel, Ganesh Prasad Poudel and Kamal Mainali and Ram Sharan Thapa of Panchthar have been alleged to help evade custom duty of 996 mobile sets along with battery in partnership with Sarala Khatri of Kathmandu metropolis-2, Sukedhara, Min Bahadur Khattri and Shiva Raj Kandel on May 4, sated in the press release issued by CIAA
