King not to attend SC fest

The royal palace recently conveyed to the Supreme Court that King Gyanendra will not attend the three-day-long golden jubilee celebrations of the Supreme Court that will begin on May 21.
Supreme Court Bar Association President, Dhruba Nath Pant, who is also a member of the golden jubilee celebration preparation committee said that the SC informed the committee that the King would not attend the fest. “The officiating SC Registrar Dr Ram Krishna Timalsena yesterday told us the King will not attend,” Pant said today. The SC had invited the King to participate in the concluding session of the convention
