Military court has dismissed army men

The Royal Nepalese Army said the military court has dismissed two army men involved in the Babarmahal incident last night from the service and sent them to one-year jail.

The army men in question were involved in an ambulance accident in a drunken drive and the threatening of locals and journalists yesterday.According to a press release issued by the RNA, the military court has dismissed army men Rabi Adhikari and Chandra Bahadur Langali Magar from the service and slapped one-year jail sentence to them. The two would also be ineligible for any government service in the future.The RNA said the two have been dismissed for driving the ambulance after being drunk and causing accident, acting against the military code, violating the discipline, and causing damage to the RNA’s prestige.
