The Supreme Court will give its decision on the 237 writ petitions filed at the Supreme Court calling for making public the whereabouts of the people, said to have been disappeared by the Army and the Police on April 11.
A joint bench of Justice Khilraj Regmi and Kalyan Shrestha Wednesday issued the order to give the decision in that connection.The Supreme Court issued the order to this effect in response to the writ petitions filed on different dates at the Supreme Court by human rights organisations and individuals calling for making public the status of people said to have been disappeared by the Amy and Police at various times throughout the country.
Likewise, in response to the writ petition relating to Chetnath Ghimire, the Supreme Court has ordered that he be presented before the Court on March 20 since information that he has been found has been received from the Home Ministry.
