Aryal says House proposals were anti-constitutional
A senior constitutional expert has deplored the passage of what he called as 'anti-constitutional proposals' by the parliament.
Talking to Kantipur Television, Laxman Aryal – the chief of the drafting committee, which drafted the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2007 and former judge of Supreme Court – said, "The proposals are against the constitution. Such proposals should not have been brought into the parliament. If they wanted to change something in the constitution, they could have brought constitutional amendment proposal."
"I see the parliament did an anarchic thing (by allowing such proposal," he said, adding that it devalued the stature of the House.
Aryal said that the proposals would add political complications and make the election uncertain.
