Maoists abduct Rukum court employees
Maoists in Rukum district have abducted two court staffers, the Supreme Court administration said on Sunday.
According to a Supreme Court statement, court staff Sashi Ram Bista and Khadka Bahadur Khadka were abducted from Kholagaun area of the district while they were on duty. They were there to implement a court verdict.
The Supreme Court has condemned the abduction and has demanded that Maoists release Bista and Khadka immediately.
Similarly, Nepal Judiciary Employees Concern
Committee has also condemned Maoists for the abduction and asked civil society, human rights activists and the government to take initiative for their release.
