RCCC verdict deferred
Kathmandu, Jan 5 - The Supreme Court (SC) Thursday deferred the much awaited verdict on the constitutionality of the Royal Commission for Corruption Control for February 13.
A five-member special bench comprising Justices Kedar Prasad Giri, Min Bahadur Raymajhi, Ram Nagina Singh, Anup Raj Sharma and Ram Prasad Shrestha had announced the date for the final verdict on the case filed by advocates Rajeev Parajuli and Santosh Mahato over three months back.
Parajuli and Mahato, in their writ, have demanded the apex court to dissolve the RCCC as it was "constituted against the spirit of the 1990 constitution."
