Writ rejected
Kathmandu Jan. 5- The Supreme Court Wednesday rejected a writ petition filed at the court seeking an interim order against the government to stop the local polls till the compensations for the voters and candidates are specified prior to the elections.
Single bench of Justice Kedar Prasad Giri decided to quash the writ petition, which was filed by Bijenndra Lal Joshi claiming that the government should manage compensation for the voters and candidates participating in the election if they were killed during the period of election on Monday.
