Ex –Joint Secretary Charged with Corruption
Kathmandu, Dec. 12- The Commission for the Investigation of the Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Sunday filed a charge sheet at the Special Court against the then joint secretary (technician) at the Ministry of Physical Planning and Works Tanuk Lal Yadhav for his alleged involvement in corruption.
The Commission has found that Yadhav’ s property details did not match with the assets that he had reported to the government and it has also found that he was leading a sophisticated life not commensurate with his earnings.His property worth Rs.12.4 million does not match with his sources of income that he has produced to the government.Similarly, the CIAA has found that he has kept a portion of his illegally earned property in the name of his wife and two sons, a press statement of the CIAA said.
The Commission has initiated investigation into the case following different complaints filed against Yadav based on the report of the high level judicial commission to investigate property-2058 BS.
