Police charges case against accusers

Rautahat, December 12-Police have registered a public offence case against 11 persons, who had filed a case in the district police office alleging that police personnel were involved in robbery incidents that occurred in 41 houses of three VDCs on November 8.

Around 22 locals of Jhunkhunwa VDC Pathara Tole, that was most affected in that incident, had specifically lodged complaints against head constables, Binod Yadav and Bijay Mishra. Public offence cases have been filed against those who went on a rampage when a police team visited the spot a day after the incident after it became evident from the statement of six arrested dacoits that no police personnel was involved, said superintendent of police Keshav Prasad Adhikari.
