Kathmandu Sept 3-His Majesty the King, in accordance with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal, 1990, has promulgated the ‘Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to Election 2005,’ and the ‘Ordinance related to the Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs)-2005.’ This was stated by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Same as, His Majesty's Government has completed the process of constituting district level local bodies by nominating members to additional 18 District Development Committees of the kingdom, friday .Exercising the authority granted by the Local Self Governance Act “ 2055 B.S. (with amendment), His Majesty's Government had already nominated Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of all the 75 District Development Committees of the country until another provision is made or election of the local bodies held.The DDCs that were filled by nominating members today include Taplejung, Panchthar, Jhapa, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Siraha, Sindhuli, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Gulmi, Manang, Kaski, Baglung, Salyan, Jumla, Rukum, Dadeldhura and Kanchanpur, the Ministry of Local Development said.
