US envoy at Dhankuta Appellate Court

Dhankuta, Nov 10 - US Ambassador to Nepal, James F. Moriarty, on his tour to Eastern Nepal, Thursday visited the Dhankuta Appellate Court.
During his visit to the court, the US envoy took into consideration whether the reason for the drop in cases filed at the court was due to Maoist activities, which one court source said was the reason behind the decline over the years.
So far, only 105 cases have been filed at the Appellate court, which is far less than normal.
Moriarty was also informed about the support given to the court by the security bodies.
