NBA withdraws boycott bench

Kathmandu Nov 15-After the emergency meeting with Supreme court official Nepal Bar Association withdraws boycott of court proceedings tomorrow to protest ruling of the apex court on the controversial media ordinance case.

Secretary of NBA Madhav Baskota and Registrar of SC Ram krishna Timilsina sign today saying both are in fever of rule of law .

Nepal Bar Association strongly condemned the judgment and accused the court of failing to protect the Constitution and the rights of the people. and For the second time since the restoration of democracy in the country in 1990, Nepal Bar Association (NBA) the professional body that represents practicing lawyers across the country said it would boycott court proceedings across the country on Wednesday (Nov. 16).

Todays moring The Supreme Court (SC) called the Nepal Bar Association for a discussion regarding the latter's announcement of a nationwide boycott of court proceedings tomorrow to protest Friday's ruling of the apex court on the controversial media ordinance case.

The Chief Justice himself initiated the move to convince NBA representatives not to boycott court proceedings.
